BANGALORE: Audi India is all gearing up to launch the updated version of its highest grosser the ‘Audi Q3’. The Q3 has been an important product to Audi and thanks to its competitive pricing and efficient engine that makes it a value proposition against its rivals. Since it’s due for launch on June 18 2015, let’s take a look at what the company is set to offer on this face-lifted version, reports Indian Express.

Engine

The face-lifted Q3 will sport the same 2.0-litre TDI 4-cylinder diesel engine which will produce 174 bhp of power and 380Nm of maximum torque. Equipeed with a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox, the major updated comes here as the utility vehicle will feature AWD system on the Quattro variant. With this introduction the entry-level luxury SUV, will take on the Mercedes GLA and BMW X1 in its segment.

Exterior

The Audi’s signature grille now houses a matte finished chrome plate which runs all the way till the headlamp cluster, that the company calls it the 3D effect single-frame grille. Furthermore, you can also witness this styling in the upcoming Q7 which is also due for launch in 2015. In terms of other changes the Indian version gets a newly designed LED head-lamps, a new set of 17” 10-spoke alloy wheels and few tweaks on the rear bumper, but other things remains unchanged.

Interior

Since the interiors were quite up market and premium, the face-lifted version will see only minor changes that include the new aluminum finish cladding instead of the previous wooden ones. Furthermore, it also gets chrome finish at few places but the big take away would be the updated MMI infotainment system that will let the users to select between Comfort, Dynamic or an Auto mode.

Prices

The face-lifted Q3 might just come with the similar pricing to the current outgoing starting from 22.83 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base model and 38.59 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top variant. However, the Q3 Quattro will come at a higher price.

Final Verdict

Pitted against the likes of Mercedes Benz GLA class, BMW X1, in the Indian Auto market, the Audi Q3 can be clearly said as a winner here even after the GLA getting a fair share of sales in the Indian Market.

So why buy the Face-lifted Audi Q3? For someone who’s looking at a value proposition along with best build quality, design and features, the Audi Q3 would just be the ideal choice.
