sdMawlynnong Village:

Mawlynnong is a village in the East Khasi Hills district of the Meghalaya state, India. Mawlynnong is famous for its matrilineal society as well as having been dubbed as Asia's cleanest village. Mawlynnong is located 90 km from Shillong along the India-Bangladesh border. As of June 2015 it had 500 residents and in 2014, there were about 95 households in Mawlynnong. The literacy rate is 100 percent.

Agriculture is the chief occupation of the local population, with betel nut being the main crop. The people residing in the community are Khasi people. Tucked away in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, it is also called ‘God’s Own Garden’. The community over here has made an honest attempt to maintain a pristine ambience.

sdNohkalikai Falls:

Nohkalikai Falls is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Its height is 1115 feet (340 metres). The waterfall is located near Cherrapunji which is one of the wettest places on Earth. Nohkalikai Falls are fed by the rainwater collected on the summit of comparatively small plateau and decrease in power during the dry season in December to February.

Below the falls there has formed a plunge pool with unusual green colored water. It’s a 3 hour drive from Shillong with a fee of just 10 Rupees.
