Honda Jazz set for July Launch; Priced at 4.70 lakh to 8 lakh

BANGALORE: With immense success over City, Amaze and Brio, Honda is all set to unveil the new Jazz in July (most probably on 8th) , which is all set to take on the likes of Elite i20 and Swift at a expected price range of 4.70 lakh to 8 lakh, reports ET Auto.

Although Jazz debuted in India back in 2009, the car did relatively well in the first year, but then rising petrol prices put brakes on its sales and later Honda had to cut prices and finally discontinue to make way for Amaze.

Jazz, which failed to captured the likes of consumers in India is now hitting the Indian market with all new design and most importantly a diesel variant.  The car will to be offered with two engines one being the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol which produces 85bhp/109Nm torque and other being the 1.5-litre i-DTEC that churns out 98bhp/200Nm torque respectively. It is also rumored that Honda might also launch an automatic variant of 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol unit mated to a 5-speed CVT automatic gearbox.

Going by the above information it is very much sure that Jazz will be making quite a come back to the Indian Auto market and if you’re a Honda fan there can’t be a better news than this to cheer about. Meanwhile, it is said that, the bookings for the new 2015 Honda Jazz will commence shortly and will most likely be priced between the range of 4.70 lakh to 8 lakh.
