Unbelievable Ancient Ruins To Visit


Tikal: Tikal is located in Guatemala, a country in Central America bordered by Mexico in the north and west and the Pacific Ocean in the southwest. It was the capital of the most powerful Mayan states.

 It is the ruins of the ancient sites found in the rain forest of the city. The traces of early agriculture at the sites are an additional advantage in its beauty.

The buildings of major ancient pyramids make it an amazing site to visit. The airstrips in Tikal make it a major tourist attraction surrounded by its own national parks.

Memphis: The ancient Mempis, was the capital of Aneb—Hetch situated in Egypt. This city was founded in 3,100 BC, during the first dynasty of Egypt.

As the center of worship of ptah, the city reached a peak of prestige in its 6th dynasty. It developed into an important religious center and an emerging capital with wonderful temples and arts. There are many famous ruins which are the part of this ancient city which are incredible.   

Troy: Troy is the famous ancient city well known both in the history and legend. It was situated in the North West Anatolia, now called Turkey. Part of the city’s archeological sites came up during 1800- 800 BC.

Troy had a great power in  its strategic location between Europe and Asia. Its extensive remains are the most significant demonstrations for the scientist as it is a very ancient archeological site in the world, as the remains of this massive city are still solid.

Babylon: The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are the most attractive archeological site in Iraq.  The city of Babylon was built upon the Euphrates.

It was the largest city in the world in 1770 BC to 1670 BC. After being destroyed it was again rebuilt by Assyrians, this city became the capital city of the Neo—Babylonian Empire from 609 BC to 539 BC.

The remains of the city are in the present day Hillah in Iraq about 85 kilometers in the South of Baghdad comprising of a large mud brick building and debris.
