Sony Corporation of America: Sony successfully managed to meet 37 percent of its annual energy requirements solely through green energy.SONY The company uses more than 88 million kWh annually, also stands as the largest buyer of green energy. Considering the large size of the organization, 88 million kWh is an achievement and is quite impressive. That company’s principle is to reduce the negative environmental impact prior to using green energy.

Dave Rubenstein, President, Sony DADC Americas, says, "purchase of renewable energy credits is an important step in our company’s effort to reduce its environmental impact. With this purchase, we are able to support Sony’s environmental goals and also promote the use and growth of renewable energy in the U.S.” In 2013 Sony reduced about 65, 000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions by using renewable energy and did not look back since then.

EMC has also set sustainability targets for 2020, which include reducing greenhouse gas emissions and utilizing more green energy.
