Rio Olympics 2016 Review: Hits and Misses


Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps, the name has now become almost synonym to the Olympic swimming event and the man has ended his professional career with 23 gold medals, five won in Rio Olympics. His achievements made him most decorated Olympian of all time with 28 medals. He bid adieu to his career in an emotional way in the presence of his fiancée Nicole and baby son Boomer.

Mohamed Farah

Born in Somalia but brought up in London, Mo Farah participated in Rio Olympics representing Britain. He captured his Double-Double by winning gold medals in 5,000m and 10,000m events and came in close to the league of Lasse Viren of Finland who made the honor by completing the same twice in 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games. He is yet to lose a race since the 2011 world championships.
