R-Day 2016: Know the National Bravery Award Winners

Gaurav Kawduji Sahastrabuddhe:

Gaurav Kawduji Sahastrabuddhe is a young lad who rescued four of his friends from drowning amid the lake. Tragically, after securing last fellow, Sahastrabuddhe got washed away. Recognizing his bravery, the government will honor him with the posthumously Bharat Award.

Shivansh Singh:

Shivansh Singh from Faizabad has a similar disastrous story with flavors of heroism.  Singh was good at swimming and had secured various medals pertaining to his talent. But, last year, Singh spotted his friends drowning in Saryu River, without a second thought he jumped into the water to rescue, but the violent  river current took his life as well.
