Promise: Taxation Reforms

Delivery: As promised Modi has taken some serious steps to end ‘tax terrorism.’ However tax policy continues to remain a problem.

In this regard the issue of Minimum Alternative Tax (MAT) on capital gains of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) has triggered controversies. Besides this, the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) is in progress.
