Obama Visit: 6 Key Issues That Are Likely To Be Discussed


This upcoming visit has large deals in the civil nuclear department. As per the sources from the ministry, U.S. and Indian officials will discuss ways to unblock billions of dollars of potential trade in nuclear energy. Citing the landmark civilian nuclear deal signed between India and U.S. in 2008 India expects a further development on those lines. U.S. owes a great deal to India and carry forward the talks to next level.

In the wake of Modi’s ambitious ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’, the country requires as much of inputs from the developed world as possible. U.S. has time and again stated that it is happy with a change in the Indian outlook towards business under the new government. Therefore it is U.S’s moral duty to help India on this regard. India wants companies from the United States to help lead investments of $100 billion in renewable energy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already promised to help renewable energy companies overcome entry to the Indian market during his trip to Washington in 2014.
