Modi's Three Nation Tour: Key Highlights

Germany:

1. After a prolonged promotion of Make in India in German streets, Modi will accompany the German Chancellor Angela Merkel in inauguration of Hannover Messe (Trade) Fair, as India is the partner country. Over 400 India companies are set to participate in the fair.

2. Modi will also inaugurate the Indian Pavilion and the Indo-German Business Meet.

3. The Prime minister would then unveil the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the City Hall in Hannover.

4. Followed by the fair, Modi would visit Berlin where he will attend a science and technology academy with an agenda to modernize the Indian Railways. Modi will visit a German Railway Station to seek ideas from the engineers.

Canada:

1. Firstly, PM Modi’s visit to Canada will be the first ever bilateral visit by Indian PM in 42 years.

2. Modi is scheduled to hold lunch talks with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper on boosting energy and improving economic cooperation.

3. Modi will then interact with sizeable Indian Diaspora at Toronto’s Ricoh Coliseum

4. On his last day of the trip, both sides will hold a meeting on Pension Fund Investments.

5. PM is said to close the three-nation tour with a visit to Lakshminarayan Temple and a Gurudwara in Vancouver.
