Major Sports Achievement by Indians in 2015

Leander Paes

The legendary Tennis star Leander Paes never fails to make the country proud even at the age of 42. He has been contributing to the country over two decades. 2015 was a pleasant year for him and his Mixed doubles partner Martina Hingis. Together they have three Grand Slam titles; Australian Open, Wimbledon Championships and US Open. He has also achieved the rare record of being only the seventh person to win 700 doubles matches in the history of the game.

PV Sindhu & Kidambi Srikanth

The young badminton sensations from Hyderabad PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth had also contributed quite a number of victories to the country this year. Even though Sindhu was out of form due to injuries during most part of the season, she managed to come back with the title win at Macau Open. She even reached the finals of Denmark Open. Whereas Srikanth started his year with dream run winning Swiss open and India Open, he even reached a career best ranking of three, but his inconsistent form showed him the door from major tournaments later in the year.
