Who Was She? Most admired and most charming woman monarch the world could ever come across. Job of the Queen of England is not an easy task. She is also one of the best known rulers, England ever witnessed. She was considered to be illegitimate as the heir of Royal monarchy, but destiny had it all planned for her. Emancipation of women is still a cause of fight till date. Having said that Elizabeth I circumvented the problems she faced as female ruler in the patriarchal society of 16th century.

Who Was She? One of the contemporary women politicians born in an orthodox country, went ahead against all odds and continued her father’s legacy. She took over the party as the Chairperson of Centre-left Pakistan People’s Party, being the first woman in Pakistan to front a major political party. Within six years of her inception into the party she was the elected head of the Islamic State Government.

What Did She Do? She was the pioneer among the Pakistani women to enter mainstream politics. She made way for other women to take part in active politics. It was after her assassination that the women were given the opportunity to be elected heads.
