Cities are Going to be Smarter Here On:

India has been getting inputs that many U.S MNC consortiums are in signing up to lend a hand in development of smart city projects coming up. Talks are set to get a push from this visit for U.S’s involvement in Smart Cities project for Ajmer, Allahabad and Vishakhapatnam will also to get a push during the talks. The relevant authorities have already been in contact over past few months to settle on the basics. So these cities will have a taste of some American style infrastructure, which will of course increase the Indian city standards in the global platform.

Stronger Economic Bonding between India and U.S.:

It is proved at various occasions that U.S. is impressed by growing business friendly environment under Modi. This is evident from the fact that an 80-member team from the U.S., including 12 CEOs, and led by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, attended the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Gandhinagar. The U.S. is hoping to build on the Modi government's bold policy initiatives like Make in India, Smart Cities, Skilling India and renewable energy.

There were positive signals given by the  Modi government with an assurance that Red Tapism would be cut down to increase foreign investments flowing into India. More concrete movement is Modi government's Digital India initiative as well as India's proposal to establish the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN, or Knowledge) will also be seen during the summit.
