4. Mumbai, India:

India's financial and entertainment capital, Mumbai is one of the world’s most densely inhabited cities. The city lies on the west coast of India and has a deep natural harbor.

Founded by Portuguese traders in the 1530s, the city's population grew by leaps and bounds following the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869. Mumbai’s business opportunities, as well as its potential of offering a higher standard of living, pulls in migrants from all over the world, making the city a melting pot of many communities and cultures.

3. Mexico City, Mexico:

An important financial hub for North America, Mexico City is located in the Valley of Mexico, a largest valley in the high plateaus at the center of Mexico, at an altitude of 2,240 metres (7,350 ft). The city was built by the Aztec’s and was nearly destroyed in the siege of Tenochtitlan in 1521. After being rebuilt, the city officially was known as Ciudad de Mexico.

As a city, Mexico ranks on the 4th place in terms of population, with almost 8.6 million inhabitants. In fact, it is also ranks as the largest city in North America.

It has a GDP of about $390 billion that makes up the one quarter of nation’s GDP. It is now the 8th richest metropolitan city on the globe and is one of most populous city in the world with a population of 19,463,000.
