Children In the War Zone: Countries That Recruit Most Child Soldiers

South Sudan: Children Suffer the Extreme Consequences

South Sudan has recently attained independence after the civil war but the consequences are not much of an improvement. Unfortunately children are the worst affected. The fact remains that around 11, 000 children mostly recruited from the refugees lands are now either fighting for the government or for the rebels. It is to be noted that South Sudan has promised to the United Nations to stop such atrocities against children, but the military personnel loiter around the schools to force flee the students as war recruits. With most schools shut and no food left in the refugee camps the children are given no other choice. South Sudan government and the armed forces have admitted it to the Human Rights Watch that they still recruit children.
