He became a regular wicket keeper at Commando Cricket Club. He comes from an ordinary family with an ordinary lifestyle unlike his other co-cricketers. Prior to making a block buster entry into full time cricket, Dhoni worked as a Train Ticket Examiner at Kharagpur Railway Station. As a child he was passionate about joining the Indian Army and thanks to the captainship, he was given the honorary Lt. Colonel rank in the Indian Army.
