Young, Educated Minds- The Driving Force Behind New Age Politics

Bangalore: With the changing Indian political scenario, ways of reaching out to an aspiring population too are changing. Political parties that once stick to the old ways of campaigning are increasingly embracing social media and young technocrats to woo the people, reports N D Shiva Kumar of TNN.

Today, new-age politics has indeed hit the country. From designing innovative campaigns to creating and maintaining portals, optimizing technology use, raising funds, highly educated youths are the chief brains behind all this.

On top of all this, political parties constantly used the latest technologies like YouTube, voice and text mail, FB, Twitter and email campaigns to reach out to the masses.

Naveen, head of JD(S) IT said, "Before the April 2013 assembly polls, we came together to participate in the political process. We decided to support a popular leader and in an online survey, HD Kumaraswamy emerged as the most popular leader. We met him to help the party,'' reports TNN.
