Second-Home Destinations For The World's Multimillionaires


BANGALORE: ‘Home is where the heart is. Today's most of the globe-trotting, business-minded, city-seeking wealthy masses more likely opted these cities as their second homes. According to a new study from New World Wealth, here are the top cities where millionaires opt as their second homes.

London:

Europe’s leading financial centre, London is today the most preferred destinations for around 22,300 multimillionaires or those worth $10 million or more as their own second homes. This is in addition to the 9,700 resident multi-millionaires living there.

The report revealed, "During peak holiday months, London can be home to up to 32,000 multimillionaires in total," reports CNBC.

The study also found that the bulk of London's second homebuyers come from the rest of the UK and Europe and a substantial number came from China, India, Russia and the Middle East.

This city caters to various sectors such as education, healthcare, technology, tourism and fashion as well. Some of the acclaimed companies in the city include Barclays, British American Tobacco Company, HSBC, and Citigroup pouring in their bit to the economy of the city.
