Most Talked About and Terrifying Murder Cases in India
The story of Naina Sahni’s murder is a gruesome one. The case well known as “Tandoor Murder Case” talks about Naina’s sad fate. She was the wife of former youth congress leader, Sushil Sharma whose brutal act of killing his wife shocked the nation. Naina had an unlawful relationship with Matloob Karim, who was an old friend of hers. Sushil raged on knowing about her affair with an outsider and hence shot her and chopped her body into pieces. He then stuffed the chopped pieces in the clay oven of Bagiya restaurant, New Delhi. Sushil absconded but eventually surrendered himself to the police.
The famed journalist of the Indian Express was found murdered on January 23, 1999 in her apartment in New Delhi. Her male friend Ravi Kant Sharma was insecure about their intimate relations and was afraid if she would go public and expose the truth. Her murderer Sharma absconded for more than three years and later surrendered himself to the police. He was later set free by the Delhi High Court in 2011 as the case lacked evidences.
