India To Build U.S. Technology Carrier Aircrafts

BENGALURU: India and U.S. have worked on the terms to build the next aircraft carrier. Both the countries are looking forward to a joint meeting that will take place in September, reports TOI.

India is planning to send a team to speed up the process on the aircraft carrier and the Light Combat Aircraft jet engine. The talks will be held in two phases with first phase in September and the second in January.

U.S. officials, John Kerry and Penny Pritzker will be part of this meet. The agenda will be about smart cities, which was part of earlier agreement U.S. made with India.

U.S. ambassador to India, Richard Verma told students in Chennai, "This is the new normal ... India as the global strategic, political and economic player. We welcome that role and will continue to be supportive of India's global aspirations. We will continue to support India's bid for UNSC membership in a reformed security council.”
