CUTTACK: The working committee of the Netaji Birthplace Museum Trust here has decided to reprint all the priceless books written on Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.

The committee headed by the State Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Kumar Panda also decided to initiate steps to enhance the fund of the Trust from the present 2crore to 5crore.

The members of the working committee in a meeting here yesterday chalked out plans for a grand celebration of the legendary leader’s birth anniversary on January 23.

The committee passed a proposal to hold an art exhibition on the occasion in the museum premises depicting the life history of Netaji, committee members said today.

The star attraction of the museum - the light and sound programme - which is now presented in English would also be made in Odia, Hindi and Bengali, the committee decided among other such programmes to attract tourists to the museum.

Similarly, it was decided that the musical fountain of the museum would be made operational from January 10, they said.

In order to give a picturesque touch to the landscape around the museum, it was also proposed that the Cuttack Municipal Corporation would take initiative to paint all the buildings adjacent to the museum in ivory colour to match the double-storied ancestral house of Netaji that was converted to a national museum in 2003.
