PJ Kurien
Pallath Joseph Kurien is the Indian politician, social worker, teacher and educationist. He is the member of the Indian National Congress and the Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha. He was alleged several times for being involved in the Suryanelli Rape Case in Kerala. Kurien is an M.Sc graduate. He attended St. Thomas College, Kozencherry in Kerala and Government Science College, Rewa in Madhya Pradesh for higher studies. Before entering politics he was a professor of Physics at St. Thomas College in Kerala.

Mayawati
The chief of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Mayawati has overall acquired three degrees. The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has procured a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Kalindi College, Delhi University. B. Ed from BMLG College, Gaziabad and went on to study law. She completed L.L.B. from the University of Delhi in 1983. There are mixed opinions of Indian politicians being educated and their education coming to the rescue of the people in the country they serve. Indian politicians barely let the number of degrees or the college they attended get in the way of serving their people.
