Chitraang Murdia Fulfills His Dream, Becomes IIT Topper


BANGALORE: Rajasthan boy, Chitraang Murdia, topped the nationwide IIT-JEE exam by securing 334 marks out of 360 appearing from the IIT Delhi zone for. The most awaited and hyped entrance examination of India for all budding engineers declared its results recently, with over 27,000 students qualifying the exam, reports Deccan Herald.

With a total of 9,784 seats available in 16 IITs and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, Chitraang eyes IIT Bombay with options of taking up either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Although most of the toppers looked out for well-settled lucrative job opportunities, Murdia wishes to involve himself passionately in research work.

Chitraang in one of his exclusive interview revealed his lesser known side and how he achieved his dream. He revealed, “The most important thing is that once you have written the paper, you should not have any regrets of doing better or that you could have done better,” reports Shiksha.com .

The son of IIT Delhi alumnus, since his beginning, he showed an inclination towards science subjects and intended to become an engineer. Towards his journey of achieving his dream, he started preparing early just after his 10th class examination. Apart from joining coaching classes in Allen, he dedicated total of 15 hours of study per day.
