# Raman Lamba, 38, India

Raman Lamba was an Indian cricketer who played in four Tests and 32 One Day Internationals, mainly as a batsman.

Lamba died after slipping into coma due to internal haemorrhage, three days after being hit on the temple by a cricket ball while fielding in Bangladesh's league cricket.

Although the injury did not appear to be particularly serious, Lamba suffered an internal haemorrhage and slipped into a coma. Although a neurosurgeon was flown in from Delhi, all efforts were in vain. After three days his ventilator was removed and Lamba was declared dead.

# Phillip Hughes

Phillip Hughes was an Australian Test and One Day International cricketer who played domestic cricket for South Australia and Worcestershire.

On 25 November 2014, Hughes was hit in the neck by a bouncer, during a Sheffield Shield match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, causing a vertebral artery dissection that led to a subarachnoid haemorrhage. He was placed into an induced coma and was in intensive care in a critical condition. He died on 27 November, having never regained consciousness, three days before his 26th birthday.

# George Summers, 25, England

George Summers was an English cricketer. He played his entire first-class cricket for Nottinghamshire.

In the match against MCC at Lord's, Summers was hit by a short delivery from John Platts, at the time a fast bowler. He was carried off the field. He seemed to recover, and was not taken to hospital, but went by train back to Nottingham. He died from his injury four days later.

# Abdul Aziz, 17, Pakistan

Abdul Aziz was a Pakistani cricketer. A wicket keeper and opening batsman, Aziz played eight first-class matches for Karachi, before he died after being struck by a cricket ball.

Whilst batting in the first-innings of the Quaid-e-Azam final against Pakistan Combined Services, Aziz was struck over the heart by a slow off break from Dildwar Awan. While preparing to receive the next ball, Aziz fell to the ground and never regained consciousness, dying en route to hospital.
