2. Bottle Caps:

Utilized as a currency in Cameroon, this peculiar medium of transaction was a result of intense competition between beer companies. This started when brewery companies declared a competition where buyers could win the prizes placed under beer caps. The prizes included mobile phones, luxury cars and others.

3.  Notgeld:

Mainly issued in the form of banknotes (paper), this form of currency was utilized in the period of 1914-1923 (World War I) as there was a shortage of metals that could be used for coins. It was mutually-accepted means of payment in the regions of Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Belgium, and France.
