8 Ancient Games And Toys That Might Soon Vanish


Pachisi:

Pachisi is a board game, known as Ludo in western countries. The board has four rectangular shaped wings, wherein, one end of each wing is adjoined to a square shaped central block and up to four players can play this game. Every player is given four pawns and one common dice.

Chauka Bara:

Chauka Bara is one of the oldest board games; game-play is similar to that of Pachisi. Board has twenty five boxes and all four players begin from the same point with an objective to reach the central box. The fastest wins the game. Moves of the pawns are determined by four cowry shells wherein all cowry shells are rolled on and user has to move his pawn as per number of shells that have fallen upside down.
