The Wankaner Houe, which occupies 10,000 square yards in Mumbai, is now an American consulate but did you know that it was once owned by Amar Sinh Zala of Jalha dynasty, the ruler of Wankaner state. However in 1957 the royal family sold the building to the American Government for 18 crores. The royal family also owned Amar Building on Firozsha Mehta Road which was sold to the Government of India for 19 crores, which is now the foreign exchange department of the Reserve Bank of India.

Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II of Jaipur had got his two huge sterling silver vessels made by the craftsmen of the city, to carry Ganga Jal with him all along his Europe trip. The vessels were made of 14,000 melted silver coins and these Silver vessels are the world's largest sterling silver vessels, as recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records.
