Chris Harris is one of the most celebrated heroes of New Zealand cricket. He debut against the Aussies in 1990 and the all-rounder has proved himself as the best player for kiwis in the 90’s. He has played 250 ODIs and 23 test matches.

On his 250th ODI he was rushed to hospital for a serious shoulder injury and his cricketing future was on doubt. He retired from international cricket in 2004 still continued to play for various clubs. Now, he   got the job of a medical representative for an Australian company Orthotech.

Nathan Astle, New Zealand

Nathan Astle is the former New Zealand opener who spent more than a decade on field for his passion. He has played 221 ODIs and 81 test matches for the country. He also has 154 wickets in his account. He holds the record for the fastest double century in a test match and the second highest individual score in the fourth in the fourth innings.

After a glorious career he retired in 2007. He was appointed the head coach role of the Burnside West Christchurch University Cricket Club in 2009 and continued to appear in club matches. Astle has also been a competent soccer player, playing for Rangers A.F.C. in Christchurch. Astle also took up Auto racing in early 2010, competing predominantly at Ruapuna Speedway, Christchurch, driving a Modified Sprint car.
