Recently, Gurudaspur in Punjab went through a fierce terrorist attack. Terrorists who are reported to have transcended from Pakistan, hijacked a car, bombed a police station and seized a vacant building.
However, all five terrorists were hunted-down by the security forces. Superintendent of Police (SP) Baljeet Singh who was leading the security forces, was severely injured but did not put his gun down until his last breath.    

Hemant Karkare:

Hemant Karkare, Chief of Anti-Terrorism Squad Maharashtra, laid down his life, fighting terrorists during 26/11 Mumbai attack. Karkare was on his way back home, when he was informed that Oberoi Hotel and Chhatrapati Shivaji terminus were under attack. Karkare immediately left to take on the terrorists, with three constables but unfortunately didn’t return, Karkare died after being shot three times in the chest by the terrorist, near the City Crime Branch office.
