Born on 14 December 1924 in Peshawar, now Pakistan, to Hindu-Pathan parents, Raj Kapoor set up his own RK Studio at the age of 24 in Mumbai. He won several awards and recognitions not only in India but world-wide. He became a symbol of Indian cinema. His career in Indian cinema started as a clapper boy and later he reached the top in the industry with his own style of movies that set a trend till date. IMGC Global Entertainment now converts the home of the Kapoor family in Peshawar, Pakistan—where Raj Kapoor was born—to a museum with the support of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
