Kuldeep Yadav is a slow left-arm bowler. He has played for India Under-19 cricket team in the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup where he took a hat-trick against Scotland and also impressed Pakistani legend Wasim Akram, who later took him to play for Kolkata Knight Riders.

He was a member of the Mumbai Indians squad in 2012 and signed up by the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014. After good performance in 2014 Champions League Twenty20, Yadav gained much appreciation after good bowling in the tournament.
