5 Key Players in The Upcoming Bihar Polls


BENGALURU: Almost a month before the 1st phase of assembly elections in Bihar, the political activities are gearing up every day. The current tenure is ruled by the Nitish Kumar led Jantha Dal United (JDU) party allied with Rasthriya Janatha Dal (RJD). But in the upcoming elections the same duo combination is contesting the election under the Jantha Pariwar group,  allied with Indian National Congress (INC) against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The NDA group is headed by the Bharatiya Janata Party, along with the regional parties Lok Janshakti Party (LKP), the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RKSP) and the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM). As a contrast, political zeal is flaring up all over the state and here goes the list of big players to watch out for, as reported by the ET

Nitish Kumar:

Nitish Kumar the present Chief Minister of the state, he has been holding the post since Febraury 2015. Kumar is the most popular political figure in the state and has completed three terms as CM. However, Kumar has announced that he would not contest in the upcoming elections but he has been busy campaigning for his Party and its alliances RJD and INC.
