Who created it

Swedish chemist and innovator who invented dynamite, Alfred Nobel, created a fund to honor the individuals who made a recognizable difference in various fields. The will of the Swedish inventor Alfred Nobel established the prizes in 1895.

First Nobel Prize

The first Noble Prizes in Chemistry, Literature, Peace, Physics, and Physiology or Medicine were first awarded in 1901. Swiss activist Jean Henry Dunant and French economist Frederic Passy were jointly the first winners of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1901.
