Arvind Adiga

A journalist and writer, Arvind Adiga was the fourth Indian to win the 40th Man Booker Prize in 2008, for his book The White Tiger. This debut book of Adiga earned immediate success after publication. It’s about a man belonging to a particular class, trying to make an independent life of his own The same book has also made its way to the New York Times Best Seller List.  Among his other popular novels are ‘Between The Assassinations’ and ‘Last Man In Tower’.

Salman Rushdie

While many know him for his various controversies, few are aware about his literary achievements. Of the several books Rushdie has written, he bagged the best Booker Prize, Booker of Bookers award for ‘Midnight’s Children’ in 1993. The same book has received three Booker Prize altogether, starting from the first win in 1981. The same book won the The Best of The Booker in the London Literary Festival based on public vote in 2008.
