10 Players The Indian Crowds Would Love To See In ISL

BANGALORE: The much-awaited “Indian Super League” has finally arrived with its fair share of glitz and glamour. And for those of us who can’t afford to travel abroad to see our favorite players sweat it out in the field, the Indian Super League is a great opportunity to not only get up close and personal with the super stars, but also be a part of the glitz and glamour of the beautiful game.

We’re not complaining about the current set of exciting players who’ve decided to lend their services, but it would also be thrilling if someone could convince some of the recently-retired or about-to-retire footballers such as David Beckham, Xavi and Javier Zanetti to grace our shores. Here are 10 players we would like to see in the Indian Super League, as reported by Nirmalya Dutta of DNA.

David Beckham
Known for his flamboyant hairstyles, a celebrity wife and an unprecedented interest in the game, Beckham is truly the first global football superstar. And on a given day any team would just pick Beckham for the player he is.
From the curvy free kicks to long range goals, Beckham’s star rose meteorically until he became a name that was synonymous with the sport. Also known as the most tattooed man in football, Beckham called time on his career at PSG after winning trophies with Manchester United, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy.
So going by these lines we are keeping our fingers crossed and hoping to see the no.7 jersey back in action in one of the teams of ISL.
