Furious 7 (Action)

The seventh in the series of the hugely popular Fast and the Furious franchise, made pre-release headlines  because of the death of its lead actor, Paul Walker, in a car accident. However, most of the footage had been shot and can enthusiasts can look forward to more high speed chases and crash sequences. Vin Diesel stars alongside Walker as the protagonist, and Jason Statham plays the viciously cruel criminal. The release date in India is 3rd April.

Jurassic World (Sci-Fi/Adventure)

After languishing in limbo for over ten years, the Velociraptors are back! The park gates are going to reopen this June, under the direction of Chris Pratt, taking over from the eminent Steven Spielberg who directed the first two blockbuster movies. Old fans can expect some nostalgia, while new movie goers are in for a totally different ride. The Indian release date is 12th June.

Tomorrowland (Fantasy/Sci-Fi)

Tomorrowland has a twist on the usual take by placing the alternate reality in another setting that lies between imagination and reality: The future. The film’s leading star Brad Bird didn’t draw much attention at first, but once George Clooney and Hugh Laurie came on board the ship set sail. The release date is 20th May, in the United States. 

Ant Man (Superhero)

Despite its rather unfortunate name, Ant Man looks to be a promising movie.  The first ever film based on the storyline of this particular comic book character, comedian Paul Rudd and acclaimed actor Michael Douglas play the lead roles. The release date in the states in 16th July.
