'The Shaukeens'- The Chase To Win Your Incomplete Desires


BENGALURU: What is it when you have lived almost half of your life and still believe something is missing right now? This is the story of recently released movie ‘The Shaukeens.’ The Shaukeens is a Hindi comedy film written by Tigmanshu Dhulia and directed by Abhishek Sharma (director of ‘Tere Bin Laden’).

The film features Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Anupam Kher in lead roles alongside Lisa Haydon, while Akshay Kumar features in a cameo.

‘The Shaukeens’ revolves around the three oldies that are aspiring for a spark in their dull lives. And following the entry of Lisa in their lives is a comeback to fulfill their incomplete desires. The film features how these 3 men are trying to make a chance over Lisa and compete to win a date with her.

The film is actually a  remake of the 1982 film Shaukeen directed by Basu Chatterjee, starring Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt, A. K. Hangal, Rati Agnihotri and Mithun Chakraborty.  While in the original film, the three lecherous men go to Goa for some 'fun', on the other hand in the latest remake, the three old men head to Mauritius to accomplish what was unfinished in their youth.
