Pink Floyd Announces New Album The Endless River

LOS ANGELES: After a hiatus of 20 years, Pink Floyd announced their new album 'The Endless River', which is a tribute to their late keyboardist Rick Wright.

It is the band's first album since their 1994 album 'The Division Bell'. It is mainly a four-sided instrumental album with one song 'Louder Than Words', which will include new lyrics by Polly Samson.

The album from David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason, will be released on Columbia Records on November 11. Gilmour, Phil Manzanera, Youth, and Andy Jackson have produced it.

Gilmour said the idea to bring 'The Endless River' came when he and drummer Nick Mason started sorting through the music that they had made for Division Bell sessions with Rick, who died in 2008.

"We listened to over 20 hours of the three of us playing together and selected the music we wanted to work on for the new album. Over the last year we've added new parts, re-recorded others and generally harnessed studio technology to make a 21st century Pink Floyd album.
