Lindsay Lohan To Make West End Debut In September

LONDON: Troubled star Lindsay Lohan is to make her West End debut in 'Speed-the-Plow' in September and will perform eight shows a week.

The Ambassador Theatre Group has confirmed the 'Mean Girls' actress will perform eight shows a week in 'Speed-the-Plow' from September 24 to November 29 at London's Playhouse Theatre, reported BBC online.

The 27-year-old actress recently documented her battle to get her career and life back on track on her self-titled OWN reality TV series, following her sixth stint in rehab last year. She first revealed last week that she would be taking on the lead role in the revival of David Mamet's production, which offers a satirical look at Hollywood.

"It's the first time I've done a stage play or anything like that. I'm nervous but I'm excited," she had said. Madonna played the same character in the original 1988 Broadway production of the play, which marked the 'Hung Up' hitmaker's own stage debut and won two Tonys.

It is not yet known who will star alongside Lohan.
