Amitabh Bachchan's Karachi moment on KBC


MUMBAI: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan got nostalgic when Pakistani actor Fawad Khan came on the sets of his quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (KBC) to promote his first Bollywood film “Khoobsurat”.

Amitabh shared his strong and personal connection with the neighbouring country. Big B revealed that his grandfather was from Karachi and said he had visited that place for the first time with his mother when he was just two years old.

Meanwhile, curious Amitabh also bombarded Fawad with a string of questions like how different is the cinema there and about his fans.

Fawad was accompanied by his "Khoobsurat" co-star Sonam Kapoor.

The episode will be aired at 8.30 p.m on 19th Septemmber. on Sony TV.

"Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC) turns fourteen this year and so does Amitabh Bachchan's association with the popular game show. The Bollywood megastar finds the longevity "alluring".

"KBC an association of 14 years and its longevity still alluring," the 71-year-old tweeted.

It was in the year 2000 that Big B associated himself with KBC, which also marked his foray into the world of television. Not only was the show hugely successful, it widened Big B's reach, thanks to his demeanour and humility.

KBC, the Indian version of internationally popular show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire", is currently in its eighth season and is aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

Celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji have already made their appearances in the ongoing season.
