Noted for her versatility and acknowledged as one of the finest actresses in Bollywood, Bhanurekha Ganesan, better known by her stage name Rekha is one of the 90s actresses who changed the definition of old age. She started her acting career in 1966 and acted in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi movies and debut in Bollywood with the movie Anjana Safar. She acted in over 180 movies in her 40 years of acting career and in 2010 she was honored with Padma Shri by the Indian government.

Rekha followed the footsteps of her parents as her father was a Tamil actor and mother was a Telugu actress. She is been nominated for the Member of Parliament recently for her perfectionism in her profession.

At this age, after three long decades in film industry, Rekha remains a glamour icon for the dressmaking cognoscenti.
