These Top Executives Will Be Put To Test In 2015

# Indra Nooyi—PepsiCo

Indra Nooyi is the current Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo, the second largest food and beverage business in the world by net revenue. She has consistently ranked among the World's 100 Most Powerful Women. In 2014, she was ranked 13 in the list of Forbes World's 100 most powerful women.

One of the activist investor in the company, Nelson Peltz has demanded to split the company in two to expand the business, but on the other hand Indra Nooyi has consistently opposed his proposals by stating that PepsiCo has gained 5 percent jump in fiscal third-quarter earnings.

According to Indra, PepsiCo as a single unit gives the company much more bargaining power with retailers. It would be curious to acknowledge how Indra stays on her point to keep the food and beverage company in a single section.

# Meg Whitman—Hewlett-Packard

Meg Whitman is the chairman, president and CEO of Hewlett-Packard. During her 10 years with the company, she oversaw its expansion from 30 employees and $4 million in annual revenue to more than 15,000 employees and $8 billion in annual revenue. In 2014, Whitman was named 20th in Forbes list of the 100 most powerful women in the world.

On October 6, 2014, Hewlett-Packard announced plans to split the PC and printers business from its enterprise products and services business. The split is expected to close by October 2015 and will result in two publicly traded companies: Hewlett-Packard Enterprise and HP, Inc.

Meg is bullish on her decision to split the company in two sections as she is positive to incorporate the latest technologies in HP in 2015.
