Tech Logo Changes That Went For A Toss


Foursquare:

Foursquare decided to forgo its old logo earlier this year when it split its service into two apps, Foursquare and Swarm. However unlike the Airbnb’s logo Foursquare did not catch the attention of the critiques as the new logo has an improved identity over the old logo in the social media front. CEO, David Crowley of the firm said that new logo is a combination of map pin and a superhero emblem, but not many people seem to adore the new logo.

Hotwire:

Hotwire LogoAgainst the principle that the logo symbolizes the company’s motive, Hotwire, a travel booking company changed its logo to something that disguises the whole meaning. Hotwire as a travel company had a logical airplane symbol in its logo which now is replaced with an abstract red dot.
