The Losers:

The biggest loser on the list is the Russian oil tycoon, Leonid Mikhelson, whose wealth went crashing down after the global oil price took a hit and also with the decline in Russian currency worth. He lost 41 percent of his wealth which is about $7 billion. This saw his wealth going down to $10 billion. This is the biggest loss that any billionaire has witnessed this year.

The next biggest business loser of this year is the investor and telecommunications tycoon from China, Masayoshi Son.  He lost up to $5.9 billion which brought his total wealth down to $13.2 billion.

Lui Chee Woo is the third biggest loser in business this year with a decline in his wealth of about $5.5 billion taking his total wealth down to $14.1 billion. He is a mastermind when it comes to investment and also in gambling with business. His company Galaxy is doing pretty well though.

This business loser of the year is a bit of a surprise because he was planning a lot of business ventures in India which haven’t been snubbed yet. This is no other than the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos. He is a vibrant businessman but this year just seemed to be killing his business with a loss of $5.5 billion in his personal wealth bringing down his total wealth to $28.9 billion.

Casino king, Sheldon Adelson had a pretty bad year with the loss he made in his personal wealth which saw a decline of $5.2 billion bringing his total wealth down to $30.1 billion. He is the owner of some of the biggest casino company the Las Vegas Sands. Well though his company is doing pretty well he saw a decline in his wealth that we believe will start soaring again.
