#Gujarat International Finance Tec City (GIFT)

Built on 886 acres of land, GIFT is a central business district in Gujarat.  GIFT aims at providing a transportation network that ensures accessibility, easy and fast mobility and few accidental road deaths.

The basic objective of the GIFT is to relocate the finance and tech firms from Mumbai, Bangalore and Gurgaon to the places infrastructure is either inadequate or very expensive.

According to the news report from the Times of India on October 18, 2014, Bangalore based Brigade Group will invest 500 crore over the next few years to develop 1.1 million square-feet of built up area.

# Interceptor sewage system

To improve the water quality of the river Yamuna, the first phase of interceptor project was launched in October 2014. This was the first initiation from Delhi Jal Board to discharge the sewage into the 3 major drains that release water in the river.

The project is divided into 6 different packages and entails interception of sewage flowing in around 180 subsidiary small drains and assigning it to the nearest Sewage Treatment Plants to ensure that only treated sewage is discharged into major drains.
