OLX is an Indian classified advertising platform allowing users to post free ads. The company was founded by Grinda and Alec Oxenford in the year 2006. With over 1,200 employees and operations in 40 countries it is the largest marketplace in India. OLX sold a majority stake to the conglomerate Naspers in 2010 and the site is ranked 650 globally and 50 in India respectively. The service is available free of cost and generates revenue through selling promoted listings to users.
