India's Highest-Earning IT CEOs

Francisco D’Souza:

The CEO of Cognizant, Francisco D'Souza, with a whooping annual salary of around $608,000  is one of the highest paid Indian IT CEOs. He is among the youngest Chief Executive Officers in the software services sector in India. Since, D'Souza took over as the chief executive in 2007; the number of employees had doubled to over 85,000.

The U.S.-listed company, which has a large portion of its 1.63 lakh workforce in India, paid Frank a base salary of $590,000, stock awards worth $9.59 million and a non-equity incentive plan compensation of $405,780 for the last year.

D’Souza is a high-energy executive who not only has the significant ability to put himself in clients' shoes, but also can get Cognizant to adjust and respond to market changes rapidly.  Under his leadership, the company has daringly acquired conglomerates, entered new markets and addressed latest opportunities that match with the changing market realities.
