The Companies That Changed The World


BANGALORE: The advancement of human race and the modernization of society is a change that is seen only for the last 500 years. In the last 5 centuries capitalism took shape, through companies that rose to take control over commodities either in a country, a company or for some in colonies.

No matter the type of influenced they had, these companies shaped, changed and brought a whole new way of life to the modern world. We have seen various revolutions from industrial, literature and art and freedom from colonization. All these events saw the rise of various companies that spewed great knowledge in to the process of the world we live in today. Here are some of the companies from of late to the present that have changed our world drastically.

The British East India Company, 1600: This Company controlled most of the globe at one point of time, whether it was trade or number countries it controlled. The British owned company took control of India and established an empire in trade through the riches of Indian spices. They were responsible for the Opium War in china as well which allowed them to control the trade route that ran through the famous Silk Road.

This Company turned the table of trade by reducing India and china to half their trade potential and raising the meek trade capabilities of the European countries to glory. It was the East India Company that basically connected the world through at one point of time. This monopoly changed the whole concept of trading where the methods followed then are still followed today.

Wright Co.:  The famous brothers who set the world in awe when they created the first flying machine. They have transformed the concept of transportation, allowing humans to reach distant places quicker and quite comfortably. The Wright Co. never really focused on building new airplanes but instead look to defend their patent rights.

The airplane business is said to have grown through their tireless efforts to fight all their patent wars, and many of their methods of engineering remains as the standard methods even today.
