The company sometimes fails to identify the needs of its customers or they fail in an attempt to fix a problem that didn't exist. Some of these companies rebranded their rebranding and found success while others, paid a price for this change. History shows that large-scale rebranding efforts come with mixed results. In 1985, when Coca-Cola changed the formula for its well-known Coke brand, the public retorted as if the company had wrecked a symbol of America. In around 3three months Coca-Cola pulled out a new formula, which was rebranded as Coke Classic. According to many experts, the main reason why Coca-Cola failed was because they ignored the most important question of reengineering their formula.
