Bangalore: Rebranding sometimes turns dreary regardless of the best efforts of the biggest and most luxurious marketing firms. The company sometimes fails to identify the needs of its customers or they fail in an attempt to fix a problem that didn't exist. Some of these companies rebranded their rebranding and found success while others, paid a price for this change. History shows that large-scale rebranding efforts come with mixed results. Some advertisements turned viral on television. But all efforts put behind rebranding are worth the money spent behind it. Here are some of the largest rebranding flops in history.

New Coke
In 1985, when Coca-Cola changed the formula for its well-known Coke brand, the public retorted as if the company had wrecked a symbol of America. In around 3three months Coca-Cola pulled out a new formula, which was rebranded as Coke Classic. According to many experts, the main reason why Coca-Cola failed was because they ignored the most important question of reengineering their formula.
