Overseas App Developers Making Presence In Indian Market


BANGALORE: Gaming app makers from across the world are showing explicit interest in the Indian market. Also called publishers the game makers are moving in to make use of the money the Indian market is capable of making, reports ET.

The Indian market as quoted by several senior analysts has the potential to supersede China market in the present terms. The market is quite complex to be fully explored, but if the risk taken to change the situation then it is a win-win situation as India is going to replace United States in the number of Smartphone users by 2016.

The debut of international mobile gaming conference Pocket Gamer Connect which took place in Bangalore had far off companies across the seas coming in to take part. About 15 gaming companies from Canada, Thailand and United States came in to check the present market scenario and to search for local partners. London-based Bossa Studios, Canada's Roadhouse Interactive, and New York-headquartered Lima Sky were a few of them.

India has a great share of younger population who are more linked with the technology and apps are their favorite pastime.

India is climbing the progress ladder, though it is yet to make to the top it has reached a stage where the Indian market is ready to take explore foregoing its complexity.

More gaming companies will likely be showing interest to make their bases here and in future.

At present India is in the third position after United States and Brazil in the number of downloads on the Google Play Store. But in terms of revenue India is not even in the top 5 list.

With growing interest in Indian Market the revenue will see a new light and the time is here for the Indian startups to make their bases strong.
